The manufacture of the modern-day sports car began only after 1945, when the economy started booming, technology developed dramatically and better roads were being built. They came in various shapes like convertibles, roadsters, coupes, grand tourers and sedans. Sports-car lovers are either devoted to timeless classics that have been souped up for current times, or are trendsetters looking for the latest kind of exotic car.

In fact, sports cars are as much about personality as they are about performance ? smooth aerodynamic bodies of carbon fiber, chrome pipes and fittings, rich leather upholstery, wide wheels, shiny wooden panels and snazzy paint jobs.
Different brands of sports cars adopt different principles of design. Today, the design and manufacture of sports cars is becoming more specialized and competitive, with newer, more attractive designs and a higher degree of technical sophistication being utilized. .

Used Cars Are the Last Remaining Untapped Market in the Auto Industry
(ContentDesk) November 1, 2005 -- Car Dealer Marketing announced the launch of The Used Car Sellution", an innovative, proprietary online marketing program for Internet-savvy auto dealers that drives pre-qualified used vehicle buyers directly to the inventory department on a dealer's own web site.
The Used Car Sellution" is being used by Asbury Automotive, the fifth largest mega-dealership group in the country, for its Crown Automotive subsidiary and two of its dealerships in North Carolina and one in Virginia.
The program delivered over 15,000 additional pre-qualified used vehicle buyers to Crown's web site in August and September, which averages around 40,000 visitors a month.
It resulted in the company selling 53 additional used vehicles, yielding profits in excess of $92,000, according to Alan Hack, president of Car Dealer Marketing.
That's right, $92,000 in profits, not sales.

Classic Cars Show Down
In the auto world, one of the most sought after events are classic car shows. This is usually one of those events where you can find lots of car lovers, aficionados, followers, and simple car enthusiasts. And because classic car shows are events where various kinds of people can simply stare, gawk, or even appreciate at all the unusual and really classic autos and vehicles, it would not be very surprising to see throngs and throngs of people during such events.
Just recently, another car show was successfully conducted. In Los Angeles' Sylvan Park, hundreds of car enthusiasts flocked to attend the Optimist Car Show and Chili Cook-off.
This car show actually is done every year and the year 2006 marks as the 15th time that such an event was held.
Such an event features classic cars. However, there are other main attractions that attendees could find interesting. While going through the area, one can find live music from a couple of bands....
